No more i7 and i9, Intel Will Drop The Letter “i” In The Names of Its Consumer Processors.

⬤ An Intel spokesperson confirmed that the company plans to change its naming approach for its processors, as it will completely get rid of the letter “i” in the processor names.

⬤ Intel processor names are expected to become Intel Core (Ultra) 7 or Intel Core (Ultra) 9.

The company is making this change in preparation for the launch of new processors of the Meteor Lake generation in the second half of 2023.
