A girl is battling kidney failure after eating a burger at McDonald’s

15-year-old Camberlin Bowler from Grand Junction, Colorado, is currently fighting kidney failure, which has become a life-threatening complication from E. coli poisoning.

Camberlin’s parents believe that the recently recalled McDonald’s Quarter Pounders, which were found to contain E. coli-tainted onions, are to blame. The girl ate the burgers just days before the first symptoms appeared.

The family intends to sue the company and has already hired a lawyer who previously filed two lawsuits on behalf of other affected customers.

Camberlin’s diagnosis is “enterohemorrhagic hemolytic uremic syndrome.” She has had to undergo several dialysis sessions in the hospital, during which, according to her mother, her kidneys have begun to show “some signs” of recovering function.

It is worth noting that a total of 75 people were affected by the E. coli outbreak linked to the Quarter Pounders.
