You won't even need a compatible tag or accessory to use the feature. For instance, you can say "Hey Google, remember in Find Hub that I put my passport in the vault inside my bedroom cabinet." You can also attach a photo to go with it.

The Find Hub update will introduce a new way to find important items without having to attach a tracker. According to a Google blog post shared today, you’ll soon be able to ask Gemini to remember where you put an important item like a passport that you don’t frequently use and may forget exactly where you stashed months later.

Since this is an Android Drop rather than a Pixel Drop, these features are coming to a wider range of devices. If you’re on Android 16 or higher, you can now tell Gemini to log the location of items that don’t have a tracker tag attached.

When time comes that you need your passport, you can simply ask Gemini, and it will tell you where you placed it. You can also view all the items you've saved in Find Hub, along with their locations.
