The feature highlights unusual battery drain and identifies the apps using the most power. We first spotted the feature under development two weeks ago, with our teardown indicating that Gemini Nano would generate the summaries on-device. Pixel phones already give you plenty of detail about where your battery is being hogged, but Google is adding a simpler way to make sense of it.
It looks like the new Battery Usage Summary feature is now rolling out to Pixel 10 and later devices. A screenshot shared with us by Telegram user @avasthiamit shows the summary appearing at the top of the Battery usage page. In this example, the phone highlights that around 15% of the battery has been used, says this is more than usual for that time of day, and identifies WhatsApp and Google as the biggest power users.
