The phone is being showcased at Xiaomi’s huge IFA booth alongside more than 380 products spanning smartphones, smart home devices, cars, AI, and other tech. This is the first time Xiaomi has shown off a real Xiaomi 18 Fold, revealing a cherry red color.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will launch in China on September 7, two days before Apple should unveil its own wide-screen foldable, the iPhone Ultra. Alongside announcing the launch date, Xiaomi also showcased the foldable in a Nishino Red colorway.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is confirmed to feature a 5.38-inch cover screen and a 7.58-inch inner foldable display. Xiaomi has also shared a video showcasing the foldable, offering a glimpse at its internal components and hinge mechanism.
That means no Snapdragon or Mediatek silicon.
