Unless you live in the US, the Galaxy A17 5G and Galaxy A17 4G actually came out last year in 2026. The Galaxy A27, A37 and even the A07 are, indeed, 2026 models, but Samsung has decided to stick to its one-year refresh cycle rather than worry about naming and year consistency. Anyway, the A17 4G is about a year old now, so it’s time for the A18 4G.

When the latter occurs, it’s no longer a good idea to buy that model, and you should consider upgrading if you’re already using it.
