We had the distinct pleasure of attending vivo’s X500 series unveiling in Shanghai, China. If you’ve never been to such an event, it’s pretty nice; the maker usually arranges a bunch of photo opportunities around the location, and vivo did just that. So we went to a couple of places, vivo X500 Pro Max in hand, and took some photos.

On the back of the phone, the vivo X500 Pro Max features an impressive triple camera with a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor that uses LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology that promises major dynamic range improvements, sitting behind a 24mm f/1.6 stabilized lens.

Then, there’s a 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor with an 85mm f/2.7 zoom lens, and a 50MP 1/2.75-inch sensor for the 15mm f/2.0 ultrawide. That’s an almost as impressive system as the one on the vivo X300 Ultra, which has the upper hand in the main and ultrawide areas!
