Samsung’s Galaxy A series just got hit with steep price hikes in the US

How does $600 for a Galaxy A57 5G sound. Samsung’s Galaxy A series just got hit with steep price hikes in the US. The price hikes affect the Galaxy A57 5G, Galaxy A37 5G, Galaxy A27 5G, and Galaxy A17 5G.

This latest round of increases also comes after the Galaxy A17 5G received a $50 price hike in August. Plenty of smartphones have launched with higher prices in 2026 due to the RAM crisis, including Samsung’s own Galaxy A series phones. Unfortunately, there’s more bad news for these mid-range Galaxy devices.

Samsung has issued price hikes for several Galaxy A series phones in the US. The Galaxy A57 5G now starts at $599.99 (was $549.99), the Galaxy A37 5G now starts at $489.99 (was $449.99), the Galaxy A27 5G costs $379.99 (was $349.99), and the Galaxy A17 5G costs $269.99 (was $249.99).

Samsung showcased its first Android XR glasses during its Galaxy Unpacked event in July, and now a new report from its home country of South Korea tells us when we should expect them to finally launch: in November. This has allegedly been confirmed by "a Samsung official".

Pricing still isn’t known, unfortunately. The glasses will apparently be called Intelligent Eyewear.

They have no display, but do come with a camera, microphones, and speakers. Google’s Gemini AI processes the information that you see and hear through a connected Galaxy smartphone.

You can of course talk to it,… Here’s when Samsung’s first Android XR glasses are finally launching.

You can of course talk to it, and you’ll hear it through the glasses’ speakers. Samsung is apparently targeting these to be "up to 5g" lighter than Meta’s 51g Ray-Bans, although the final weight has still not been confirmed by Samsung.

Speaking of Meta, it currently holds 96% of the market for display-less "AI glasses", according to Counterpoint Research.
