Audiobooks on Spotify are currently accessible in 22 markets. Today, Spotify announced that it will expand audiobooks to more than 180 markets by the end of 2026.
This expansion would allow Spotify’s 750 million users worldwide to stream or purchase books on Spotify. Listeners in new markets would gain access to over 350,000 titles in more than 120 languages, including new catalogs in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Polish.

In its new markets, users will be able to access audiobooks on Spotify in three different ways: Audiobooks included in the Premium plan, Audiobooks+, and direct sales.
In November, users on a Student plan in Ireland, Belgium, Austria, and Finland will be able to add additional listening hours using Audiobooks+, which has over one million subscribers and has exceeded $100 million in annual recurring revenue. In February, Spotify introduced a feature called Page Match, which more than one million readers have used to move between print/e-book and audio, allowing them to start reading in one format and continue later in another.
