Siri AI is a completely reimagined version of Siri that is more personal and powerful, without compromising users’ privacy. Built on Apple Intelligence, it draws on personal context understanding to help users find what they need in the moment across their messages, emails, photos, and more. With even more systemwide app actions, Siri AI can help users with tasks such as drafting an email from scratch or editing and sharing a set of photos.

With onscreen awareness, Siri AI can answer questions or take actions related to the content on a user’s screen. It can also use broad world knowledge to get up-to-date information on virtually any topic. Language support for Siri AI will continue to expand, with availability in Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese coming by the end of the year.

Today’s iOS 27.2 update also adds more sources of information Siri can draw on. The AI tool can now pull information from more granular places, such as photos sent in Messages, attendees on Calendar invites and voicemails.

An iPhone user can also opt to prevent Siri, Search and suggestions from accessing a particular program in the Excluded Apps setting. Users can now select and copy partial elements of responses from Siri AI with the addition of granular text selection.

Finally, Apple has added language support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Those Siri AI features are available on all iPhone 16 models and later, as well as on the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Availability Apple Intelligence is available with Siri and device language set to Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, or Vietnamese.
