Google brings trip-planning features to Search's AI Mode

Google AI Mode is getting a flight price tracker, hotel booking and a way to view the cost in miles or points. Google brings trip-planning features to Search’s AI Mode. One of those is the price-tracking tool from Google Flights.

The company says you can tell the chatbot where you want to fly and when, and it will present you with options from more than 300 airlines and travel sites. If you then tell AI Mode to track prices, Google will send you an email when they change for your planned destination and travel dates. The company says this feature is now live in all locations and languages where AI Mode is available, except for countries and territories in the European Economic Area.

Users everywhere can now use AI Mode to check how much a flight or hotel costs in miles or points. Again, you just need to tell the chatbot where and when you want to travel and you’ll see the flight cost in miles. For hotels, tell AI Mode you want to see the cost in reward points.

We recently reported that Google made AI Mode in Search much more useful for trip planning. You could connect supported third-party apps, compare live flight and hotel information, look for recommendations, and even build an itinerary without constantly bouncing between different searches.

Now, the company is taking that a step further. AI Mode can keep an eye on flight prices for you, show what flights and hotels will cost in points or miles, and even help you book a hotel once you’ve found the right one.
