With the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung this year unveiled the first ever built-in hardware-controlled privacy display on a smartphone. Now Xiaomi is apparently following suit with its next flagship devices and the interface for the Smart privacy display as Xiaomi calls it has now been leaked. What you see below was allegedly recorded from a global ROM.

Interestingly, you can set things so that the phone will automatically switch to the privacy display for sensitive pages like password entry, payments, transfers, and messaging.

Elements of Xiaomi’s upcoming Smart privacy display have just leaked. Samsung made Privacy Display cool, and another Android brand is almost ready with its own take.

This brand has an unique take on Samsung’s Privacy Display. When available, users will be able to hide their screen from shoulder surfers while viewing specific apps, notifications, or other sensitive pages.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo — brands that ranked third, fourth and fifth in global smartphone shipments in Q2 2026 per Counterpoint Research — have no meaningful official presence in US stores.
