M6 Pro Chip Result on Geekbench is Likely Fake

A supposed Geekbench result for an unreleased M6 Pro chip surfaced this week, but it is likely fake. Geekbench creator John Poole informed that he uncovered "internal inconsistencies" that lead him to believe that the M6 Pro result might not be legitimate. Bloomberg ‘s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple plans to skip M6 Pro and M6 Max chips entirely.

The OnePlus 16 release is seemingly getting closer, as the leak intensity has increased lately. We’ve had an official teaser from OnePlus the other day and an extensive report on the specs shortly after that.

But now, we have a solid confirmation about the chipset. A Geekbench 7 listing just popped up on the radar, revealing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is hardly a surprise, of course.
