Your kids don’t need unlimited AI time, if any. Google could soon let you put your kids’ Gemini chats on a timer. Google could soon let parents set daily Gemini time limits.

Once children reach their daily limit, Gemini could display a lockout screen telling them when they can use the assistant again. It’s unclear whether the limits will apply only to the Gemini app or across other Gemini experiences, such as the overlay and Google Messages. Did you know Google already lets you decide whether your children can use Gemini or not.

As a parent, you have the option, via the Family Link app, to either let your kids experiment with generative AI. You either give them access or block it completely. Currently, there’s no middle ground, and it looks like Google wants to change that.
