The current iPad (2025) came out in March last year with the A16 chip and 6GB of RAM, which isn’t enough for Apple Intelligence.

Its successor should fix that, since Apple’s own code revealed its main specs – the A19 chip, 8GB of RAM, Apple’s N1 networking chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, and the C1X modem for sub-6GHz 5G in cellular models. The iPad Air 11 (2026) and iPad Air 13 (2026) arrived in March with the M4 chip and 12GB of RAM, but they’re still stuck with 60Hz LCDs.

Their successors will finally switch to OLED, which is in line with a previous report claiming Samsung Display will supply the panels.
